Simple, pharmacist-approved habits to keep dry and sensitive skin healthy all year round.
Start with a gentle cleanse
Harsh soaps can strip your skin's natural oils, leaving it dry and irritated. Choose a fragrance-free cleanser, especially if you have sensitive or eczema-prone skin.
Moisturise while skin is damp
Applying a moisturiser like E45 or Aveeno straight after washing helps lock in hydration. For very dry skin, a thicker emollient such as Diprobase can offer longer-lasting relief.
Protect and be consistent
Skincare works best as a daily habit rather than an occasional treatment. Keep a moisturiser by the sink or bed as a reminder, and reapply hand cream after washing your hands.
When to ask for help
If your skin is persistently itchy, cracked or inflamed despite regular moisturising, it's worth a chat with our pharmacy team — we can recommend the right product or suggest seeing your GP.
